Pieter Huyer (Drums)

Pieter Huyer has worked professionally for 7 years as a freelance percussionist in Toronto, playing predominantly in musical theatre. His live performance career covers over 50 theatrical productions alongside additional symphonic, orchestral, and choral work. Outside of performing, Pieter has been actively teaching drums in the GTA through a number of music academies, within a private studio, and as a guest teaching artist with the Simcoe County School Board and the Toronto District School Board. Pieter graduated with a music degree from the University of Guelph, and uses the pedagogical techniques learned there to help create individual curriculum programs for each and every student. The focus is always on fun, co-ordination, and learning through movement and rhythm!
