Please Pardon Our Appearance!

It’s been a rather eventful week at Toronto Music Alliance. (Perhaps you heard about it on the news!) We’d like to bring everyone up to speed, and let you all know we are fine, and fully open for lessons.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On October 2nd, crews from the City of Toronto dug through our frontage, breaking holes into our basement. We are relieved to report that nobody was injured, and the rooms that were damaged were an electrical room and bathroom/storage area normally not accessible to the public.

IS THE BUILDING SAFE?

YES! The structure has been thoroughly inspected by multiple engineers, and has been shored up to be safe for everyone to be inside and learning.

What’s going to happen next?

Over the coming weeks and months, we will be repairing the damage to the interior and exterior of the building. We hope that interruptions remain at a minimum, but will let everyone know if anything changes as soon as we know.

what can we do to help?

Honestly, this has been the most heartwarming and common question we’ve had since this all began. Unless you have a spare beach vacation laying around somewhere (and hats off to you if you do!), the best thing you can do is continue to support us. Keep making your music; the emails and calls of support have been lovely. And if you want to join us, we have an upcoming Open House on October 14th so we can meet you. We’d love to keep doing what we do best: Share and grow the love of music with our community!
